Bluebell Woods

Free Photos, Roseberry Topping, North Yorkshire

Newton Woods at Roseberry Topping (near Great Ayton) will now forever be known by myself as Bluebell Woods. Naturally there are many so called woods, but the spread of Bluebells here is vast to say the least.

Once inside the woods, (which sits on the northern flank of the famous Roseberry Topping crag) you can see bluebells in every direction, and as far as the eye can see. It is indeed a carpet of Bluebells.

One of the things you'll notice about bluebells, is they aren't exactly blue, unless you view them early in the morning, or late in the day. These photos were taken late in the afternoon about 7pm.
