This photo was taken alongside the Aire and Calder Canal at Stanley Ferry. Stanley Ferry can be found near Wakefield and sits on the Aire and Calder Navigation branch between Wakefield and Castleford.
There is a Marina with a large pub on the side. The pub itself caters for family party's and is very popular. The Marina looks run down though and in need of some TLC. However, just outside the Marina, there are attractive moorings and a wide enough navigation for most craft.
